After an extended delay following its early September announcement, the update has started reaching users in phases, beginning with T-Mobile subscribers before expanding to unlocked device owners who participated in the beta program.

The update measures approximately 650 megabytes for beta participants, and Samsung has published a comprehensive changelog detailing all the new capabilities and enhancements included in this release.

The One UI 9 update introduces substantial improvements across multiple areas of the Galaxy experience. One of the most noticeable changes is an enhanced suggestion system that now appears in more locations throughout your phone. Beyond the keyboard, you’ll see contextual suggestions in conversation notifications and a floating button positioned in the bottom right corner of your screen. Samsung has focused heavily on video and communication tools with this update. Samsung Health has undergone a complete redesign to make your health data more accessible and understandable. The interface now features clearer visuals, improved charts, and a more engaging layout designed to help you reach your health goals. You can resize cards and organize them by category, including Activity, Sleep, Mindfulness, and Nutrition, ensuring your priorities are always visible.

Adding health information is now more convenient, directly available from the Samsung Health home screen. You can log your mood, meals, and other metrics, and use your camera for faster input. Improved trend charts let you view data in hourly, daily, or weekly intervals, with pinch-to-zoom functionality for detailed analysis. You can overlay multiple charts to compare your performance across different time periods.

The update includes expanded tracking capabilities for sleep vitals, heart health metrics, and lifestyle factors affecting cardiovascular performance. A daily heart score based on your sleep, exercise, BMI, and blood pressure helps you understand your trends. The new Fitness Index provides an overall score calculated from five key metrics: body composition, cardio, strength, flexibility, and endurance. Additionally, a new Hearing Tracker monitors sound levels detected by your Galaxy Watch and headphone audio to help you manage exposure to loud sounds. Communication and Accessibility Enhancements

Bixby voice control has become more convenient with a new feature allowing you to talk to your assistant simply by raising your phone close to your mouth and speaking, without requiring a wake-up word.
