Acer has announced a major addition to its gaming monitor lineup, introducing the Predator XB253Q U1 at IFA Berlin 2026. This 24.5-inch esports display achieves a native 1000Hz refresh rate while maintaining full 1920 x 1080 resolution, marking a significant milestone in competitive gaming displays.

For budget-conscious gamers, the Nitro XV275U Z2 offers the most affordable entry point at $329.99. Its 27-inch Mini LED panel provides 1,152 dimming zones and flexibility to switch between 1440p at 275Hz, 1080p at 360Hz, or 720p at 520Hz depending on the game and your preferences. This model reaches North American markets in Q4 2026, arriving sooner than the premium options.

The arrival of gaming monitors with extreme refresh rates at native resolutions validates the esports market’s continued growth. For competitive players in titles like CS2, Valorant, or Overwatch 2, having options at 1000Hz represents genuine choice rather than forced compromise.

For most casual and midcore gamers, these ultra-high refresh options remain overkill. Unless you’re competing at professional levels or playing fast-paced shooters competitively, displays in the 240Hz to 360Hz range still deliver the visual fluidity most players appreciate.
